About

Hi there, I'm Josh!I'm a father, husband and nature lover. Over the years, I've experimented with different art forms but a whole new world opened up for me when I discovered pottery. There's something intriguing about taking a ball of clay and transforming it into a functional piece of art.As a young kid, I loved playing in the mud and creating things with my own hands—I guess not much has changed. Today, I am fascinated by pottery and enjoy every stage of the process, from throwing on the wheel to painting final details.Give pottery a try in one of my private or semi-private pottery lessons and I hope to see you soon!- Josh

Lessons

I teach pottery from my basement home studio — a quiet, relaxed space where you can unwind, learn at your own pace, and get your hands into some clay. You’ll enter through the front door, and there’s a washroom available on site, so everything you need is right here.I offer private and semi‑private lessons for 1–4 people, whether you’re brand new to pottery or looking to build on what you already know. We’ll cover everything from centering clay and throwing on the wheel to trimming, glazing, and finishing your pieces. I also have experience in handbuilding and slipcasting.Pricing:
$75 per person (2.5 hours):
Learn the basics, throw on the wheel, and explore the process hands‑on. All lessons include clay and full use of tools — just bring yourself and a willingness to get messy and have fun. Includes up to 3 finished pieces.
Add More People (up to 4 total) to get pricing of $65 per person (2.5 hours):
Bring friends or family and learn together to save $10 each. I have two wheels available, so groups of three or four will rotate between wheel throwing and handbuilding. It keeps the pace relaxed and gives everyone a chance to try different forms of pottery and ceramics.
